Ann Verret Guillory, Ed.D. is a full-time professor of counseling psychology.
Dr. Guillory has taught at Felician since 1983, working in administration as well as professor in both undergraduate and graduate psychology and sociology. She was the first director of the Felician Educational Opportunity Program and also coordinated the development of the gerontology concentration. Her administrative duties included supervision of academic student support services as well as co coordinating the Institute for Gerontology. She teaches Professional Ethics as well as Introductory Courses in Counseling Psychology. Dr. Guillory’s doctorate is in Applied Human Development with a specialization in Adult Development and Aging. She has lectured to senior groups as well as other organizations and has conducted workshops and chaired symposia for professionals and the community at large in the field of aging.
Dr. Guillory also holds a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Education from Loyola University of the South and a Masters of Education in Gerontology from Teachers College Columbia University.
She currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Care Plus NJ and Care Plus Foundation and has served as Foundation president and Vice President. She is currently the chair of the Board of Trustees of Paradigm Therapeutic Day School on Midland Park.
She is a past member of the Boards of Trustees of Westside Day Care Center in Englewood New jersey, Immaculate Conception High School in Lodi, New Jersey and 55 Kipp Center in Rutherford New Jersey. She is the past president of the Bergen-Passaic Chapter of Jack and Jill, Inc. and a past president of the Metropolitan Doll League, Inc.
Dr. Guillory has been a member of the Bergen County Chapter of the Links, Inc since 1994. She is the proud mother of two and the grandmother of two.
