Dr. Patricia Munno, DNP, CNE, CPN, RN serves as Dean of the School of Nursing at Felician University, where she provides strategic leadership for undergraduate and graduate nursing education, faculty development, program innovation, and student success. Since joining Felician in 2012, Dr. Munno has served in multiple leadership roles, including Associate Dean of Prelicensure Nursing and Director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program, helping to advance the school’s reputation for academic excellence and innovation in nursing education.
Dr. Munno earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University, her Master of Science in Nursing from Mercy College, and holds national certifications as a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) and Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN). Her clinical expertise includes pediatric nursing, pediatric oncology, nursing leadership, simulation-based education, and nursing workforce development.
A recognized leader in nursing education, Dr. Munno has spearheaded the development of innovative academic programs, including Felician University's MSN in Leadership and Magnet Excellence and the Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing Education, one of the first programs of its kind in New Jersey. She has also developed numerous online and hybrid nursing courses and has played a pivotal role in advancing simulation, experiential learning, and student success initiatives throughout the curriculum.
Dr. Munno's scholarship focuses on nursing education, simulation, student learning outcomes, healthcare technology, and workforce development. She is the author of Exploring the Impact of Preparation on Student Anxiety During Simulation and serves as a collaborating researcher on an international study examining the impact of digital health technologies on surgical nursing practice in the United States and Turkey. Dr. Munno remains actively engaged in professional organizations including the National League for Nursing, American Nurses Association, New Jersey State Nurses Association, and AACN. Her contributions to nursing education and leadership were recognized with the New Jersey State Nurses Association Impact Award. She is committed to preparing the next generation of nursing leaders through academic excellence, innovation, scholarship, and service to the profession.
