Program Details

The PMHNP-PMC program requires 21 credit hours and 750 clinical hours. It can be completed in approximately two years.

Applicants must have a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program approved by the Board of Nursing, a minimum GPA of 3.0, an unencumbered RN license, professional, and completed undergraduate courses in nursing research, statistics, and health assessment. Students must also complete Adv Health Assessment, Advanced Pathophysicology and Adv Pharmacology. Adv Pharmacology must have been completed with 5 years of finishing the program. A gap analysis of prior MSN work is required. You may be required to take up to 9 pre-req credits.

The online Post-Masters PMHNP Certificate program offers two intakes per year: Fall and Spring term. 

The program costs $793 per credit per credit hour, excluding fees. A 20% Ed Assist discount may be available for those who are eligible.

  • Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner: Prepares nurses to assess, diagnose, and treat various psychiatric and mental health conditions for patients of all ages.
